Black sheep Squadron
Black Sheep Squadron is an old PC/MAC project that had been shelved because of a lack of time and motivation and unfortunately it will (probably) never be completed.
The game is a vertical shoot-them-up, tribute to all the 1942-series (Capcom) including five ‘oldschool’ worlds in the glory of the 80’s: Pacific coast, Jungle, Country/Desert, Warp Zone/twilight zone and Sci-Fi.
You play either “John Trigger” or “Susie Goodspeed“. Choosing one or the other character changes the power of the weapons and the velocity of the aircraft, the famous WWII corsair F4U.
There are still a lot of sprites and backgrounds that are not shown in the video. The footage is sometimes buggy but it gives a good idea of what the game would have looked once tweaked and polished.
Side note-developed with the PTK game engine and in-house level & spline editors especially done for the game. All the musics done by Cyril Pereira and available right here.
Dude, where’s my shed?
It was one of that sunny morning when Captain Pooh felt for no reason at all that it was going to be a great day! Oh yeah!
Suddenly he felt an unusual pain in his belly, time has came for the delivery of the day. Quite early today. That chicken tikka masala for sure!
“Do not want to ruin my pants!” was thinking the captain and running so fast, he first thought he missed his favorite shed but looking back, there was nothing but an empty garden.
O dear, the so confortable shed, craftly done… was gone. Vanished into the air.
After released his mind, he decided to conquer the rest of the country looking for the lost shed.
“Whoever you are, you’re goin’ to pay for what you’ve doooooone!”

Platypus for iPhone and iPod touch
Based on the classic game for PC and Mac (originally developed by Anthony Flack), Platypus is a side-scrolling shoot-them-up 100% made from clay!
Already available since September 2008 for almost all the mobile devices (Windows Mobile, Symbian, Palm OS, S60, UIQ and Blackberry), Bitrabbit released a new port of the game for publisher Astraware, now for iPhone and iPod Touch.
Great graphics, smooth animation, fun to play and a very Commodore 64 soundtrack, a must-have game! :]
Casual game Pixie for PC and MAC
Pixie is a new casual game for both PC and MAC platforms developed by Phelios and EMV Software (remember Warblade?).
Story begins when the fairy Pixie loses her way in a magical forest one day and needs your guidance to return home.
The main idea (gameplay) is based on the classic arcade game Qix where you need to close of areas until you fill at least 85% of the playfield.
Powered by the PTK game engine, the game has very nice colourful graphics by Paul Conway and well fitted music & sound effects by William Lamy.
A demo is available for download and the full version features 100 levels, big bosses, many bonuses to collect, Online Hall-Of-Fame and money to spend in a magical boutique.
Brad Mitchum Flyer
Who?
A mobile game developed by Angel Software, pixelised by Naaty Design and powered by the RabbitFactory from Bitrabbit studio.
What?
My name is Brad Mitchum and here is my story.
It was a number of years ago that I was struggling to find that which would make me an internationaly renowned archeologist. I will never forget that day on 21st June when I discovered a beautiful object whilst digging in Guanotugua.
After searching my family archives accumulated over several generations I learned that my discovery was the sacred SEREIB Talisman!
Oh what a legendary object coveted by unscrupulous people for its encrusted gems which hold, according to legend, unknown powers.
Mad with joy and despite my state of fatigue I decided to celebrate my discovery in my prettiest local village pub.
Six hours and numerous pints later driven by joy and drink (or vice versa) I fell asleep under the stars stretched out in a ditch.
It was only when I awoke that I discovered that the gems had disappeared from the Talisman. At that very moment a light flooded the plain and everything was turned upside down. The light…the light…

When?
When it’s done :]
Welcome to the Fight Cube!
You know the rules…
A couple of days before 2005 Christmas, Naaty Design released a puzzle game for Windows Mobile Pocket PC in which you just need to know about blocks and horizontal lines.
Gravity of tetrominoes, scoring, does it sound familiar? :]
In the arena, you will meet other players waiting to beat you whilst making a fool of you.
REVIEWS:
- Gregmills - I’ve got it. If you’re just looking for a Tetris clone you won’t be disappointed. It’s definently worth the price just for that (single player mode).
What separates Fight Cube is definently the multi-player features. If you clear more than two lines at a time they get added to your opponent’s stack. That’s where the “fight” comes into it. Clearing multiple lines delivers a hit to your opponent pushing them closer to the top. I’ve only been able to play against the computer so far but if anyone wants to challenge me online just send a PM.
This is a great twist on a classic game so if you like Tetris then I think you’ll want to give this a try.
Crazy Jack for Pocket PC and digiBLAST
Handcrafted by Naaty Design, Crazy Jack is a retro platform game released back in 2005 for Windows Mobile Pocket PC.
Also a special version has been done for digiBLAST from toy makers Nikko.
Gameplay is quite simple, not to say oldschoolish , you need to jump & collect (defuse) bombs before they blow up, avoiding enemies, picks, water, etc. and let’s make the most of bonuses!
As you can read below, the screenplay is very original! :]
Baby Jack was born with a gift.
He was (and still is) the pride of his parents.
His gift was being the first genetically modified disco child! This put a little touch of groove into his every move and mind.
Everybody knew him as Groovy Jack.
But as always, being a little different brings its share of jealousy and Jack felt more and more negative vibes around him and became Crazy Jack, ready to kick some ass.
Don’t forget to put on your dancing shoes: disco fever is coming.
REVIEWS:
- Mtekk (english) 9.9/10 - One of the delightful aspects of this game is the excellent 80’s disco soundtrack; combined with superb graphics, the sound helps makes playing the game highly entertaining and great fun as Jack grooves and moves his way around the screen - John Travolta, eat your heart out!
- PocketPCLouisville (english) - Crazy Jack is an addicting new game. It has some great music and the graphics are very bright and colorful.
- x50v.it (italian) - Divertente, Alta giocabilità, Bella grafica, Facile da apprendere.
- Games-art (english) - Some of the effects, such as the trail he leaves when jumping and the particles that comprise the teleports look really nice. Overall the game is very esthetically pleasing.
- Computer Shopper (english) 5/5 - Progressing through the levels isn’t easy, but the tongue-in-cheek Saturday Night Fever-style dancing moose adds plenty of comedy to the mix to keep you coming back.
- Palmtop User (english) - As proof positive that there’s life left in the platform game genre, Crazy Jack combines well balanced gameplay with absolutely stunning sound and visuals…
It’s hard to think of any platform game that’s been done better on a PDA - and that’s just about the highest recommendation we can give!
Qwak is back!
